Join us - Get Involved
Your support is important to our work at Baker Resources Coalition. There are many ways you can contribute towards our work, and every little bit that you commit goes a long way in helping us fulfill our mission. Learn more about how you can get involved and take advantage of the opportunity to do some good.
Become a Project Host
Do you need help with projects on your property? Are you passionate about teaching kids natural resource management? Join us!
All projects are reviewed and approved by the Coalition Steering Committee; Hosts are required to have a current police background check through the Baker 5J School District. Properties will be visited to determine if the project is appropriate and can be completed in a workweek. Interns are paid the minimum wage for rural Oregon, which will increase each year under state law. On average, interns work 6 hours per day. Employer contributions to Social Security and Medicare and Workman's Compensation Insurance are covered from funds provided by institutional supporters (see the list of Supporters in the "Who we are" drop down menu).
If you are interested in becoming a project host, please fill out the contact form at the bottom of the page. We will get back to you shortly with more information and next steps.
Become a Partner
If you or your institution embrace our vision and want to be proactive - get the job done - consider joining our partnership. Partners commit to do or support mutually agreed projects selected to advance our agenda in one or more of our core program areas: Future Generations, Woodland Management, Watershed Management or Recreation & Tourism. Partners support each other's proposals/projects; share information and resources where possible and foster inter-sectoral engagement on projects. In short by working together and helping each other we can make significant progress in addressing our primary vision.
